Work Site Stabilization Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment including skid steers, graders, compactors, water trucks, reclaimers, and bulldozers
• Perform subgrade and base layer assessments and apply treatments for compaction and drainage
• Execute stabilization processes using lime, chat, or fly ash mixing and spreading
• Install and compact base layers using aggregate materials
• Finish grade and smooth top layers for concrete or asphalt paving
• Ensure accuracy in elevation and slope per site plans and blueprints
• Travel to various job sites up to 90% of the time, including overnights and weekends
• Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety guidelines
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and field reports
• Coordinate with site supervisors and project managers

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in construction, roadwork, or site stabilization
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to travel at least 90% of the time with overnight and weekend travel
• Technical proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B
• Experience with GPS-based grading systems or automated controls
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification
