Work Package Leader Flight Management System Design A400M

Responsibilities

• Lead the scoping and requirements definition for the A400M Flight Management System (FMS) by liaising with internal stakeholders.
• Drive system design activities and definition processes for next-generation FMS standards.
• Manage and oversee major multi-national suppliers and various subcontractors within the Work Package.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces, including laboratory teams, flight test teams, safety, certification, and airworthiness.
• Support the optimization of design processes and foster innovation within the design office.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in aeronautics, embedded systems, avionics, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in system design.
• Strong background in flight management, guidance & control, software/hardware specification, or aircraft performance.
• Mastery of avionics systems engineering, preferably with FMS experience.
• Mandatory negotiation-level proficiency in English; French negotiation level is highly desirable.
• Strong decision-making, persuasion, and influencing skills with the ability to work autonomously in transnational teams.
