About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage a growing caseload of Worker's Compensation matters
- Perform substantive legal research and hone medical knowledge to assist in litigation
- Appear for pre-trials, case management conferences, arbitration hearings, and appeals
- Collaborate with highly experienced attorneys through mentorship and on-the-job training
- Handle case management and courtroom appearances within the court system
Requirements
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in the legal field
- Working knowledge of Worker's Compensation law and hearings
- Law degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Actively licensed in Illinois or Indiana (or the ability to become licensed in these states)
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines in a collaborative environment
