Work Comp Attorney

Responsibilities

• Manage a growing caseload of Worker's Compensation matters
• Perform substantive legal research and hone medical knowledge to assist in litigation
• Appear for pre-trials, case management conferences, arbitration hearings, and appeals
• Collaborate with highly experienced attorneys through mentorship and on-the-job training
• Handle case management and courtroom appearances within the court system

Requirements

• 3 to 5+ years of experience in the legal field
• Working knowledge of Worker's Compensation law and hearings
• Law degree from an ABA accredited law school
• Actively licensed in Illinois or Indiana (or the ability to become licensed in these states)
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines in a collaborative environment
