Work Comp Attorney

Responsibilities

• Perform substantive legal research and hone medical knowledge to assist in litigation
• Appear for pre-trials, case management conferences, arbitration hearings, and appeals
• Manage a growing caseload under the mentorship of highly experienced attorneys
• Handle case management and courtroom appearances with a focus on efficiency
• Collaborate with colleagues in a professional, small-office environment

Requirements

• 3 to 5+ years of experience in the legal field
• Working knowledge of Worker's Compensation law and hearings
• Law degree from an ABA accredited law school
• Actively licensed in Illinois or Indiana (or the ability to become licensed in either state)
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines effectively
