Work Comp Associate

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants in a team environment
• Perform legal research to stay current with developments in workers' compensation law
• Interact directly with clients on a daily basis to build professional connections
• Handle depositions, mediations, conferences, and court appearances
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, and opinions

Requirements

• Law degree from an ABA accredited law school
• Actively licensed in Missouri or the ability to become licensed in Missouri
• 0 to 5+ years of legal experience
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in defense law
