Law degree from ABA accredited law school, Actively licensed in Missouri or ability to become licensed, 0 to 5+ years of legal experience, Strong analytical and communication skills
About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform legal research and stay current with new developments in workers' compensation law
- Handle depositions, mediations, conferences between claimants and judges, and court appearances
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, and opinions
- Interact directly with clients on a daily basis to build professional connections
- Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants
Requirements
- Law degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Actively licensed in Missouri or the ability to become licensed in Missouri
- 0 to 5+ years of legal experience
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in defense law
