Women's Health Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
• Prescribe necessary medications and treatments
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and facilities
• Communicate with collaborating physicians regarding patient care
• Order and perform diagnostic tests
• Manage common acute and chronic illnesses, including minor trauma
• Perform minor surgical procedures such as IUD/Nexplanon insertions, colposcopies, and endometrial biopsies
• Initiate life-saving procedures in emergencies

Requirements

• Master of Science degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Maryland preferred)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Current BLS certification
• 3+ years of experience in the women's health field
