Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
• Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care

Requirements

• Master of Science degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Current BLS certification
• DEA and CDS eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
• Nurse practitioner license in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C.
• Registered Nurse license in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C.
