Wiring Technician

Responsibilities

• Install and connect wiring for electrical switchgear components based on detailed schematics, diagrams, and layout drawings
• Mount relays, circuit breakers, switches, busbars, and other electrical hardware into enclosures using hand and power tools
• Route, strip, crimp, and terminate wires and cables accurately and efficiently
• Conduct self-inspections of wiring to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and code standards
• Assist in functional testing of wiring systems and troubleshoot issues such as miswires or component malfunctions
• Document completed wiring tasks according to production requirements and follow all safety guidelines

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Proficiency with wire strippers, crimpers, multimeters, hand tools, and power tools
• Basic understanding of electrical theory and safety standards (OSHA, NEC)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in electrical wiring, panel building, or switchgear assembly
