Wiring Harness Design Specialist

Responsibilities

• Create and develop wiring harness 3D routing using the Siemens NX Electrical Routing module
• Prepare 2D flattening drawings including wire lengths, bundle diameters, and branch details
• Define and manage connectors, clips, clamps, and protective coverings in the NX library
• Perform routing feasibility, bend radius checks, and clearance analysis to ensure design compliance
• Generate and maintain BOM, wiring tables, and harness documentation for manufacturing
• Assess electrical characteristics and potential EMC influences resulting from harness design
• Collaborate with team members and tooling suppliers to ensure project quality and standards

Requirements

• BE in Mechanical Engineering
• Medium to expert level proficiency in UG-NX, Teamcenter, and AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Solid understanding of electrical components and the ability to read data sheets
• Experience coordinating with tooling suppliers from end to end
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills
