About the role
Responsibilities
- Learn and use Cadonix Arcadia to create and update wire harness designs
- Convert existing drawings into digital formats and input design data
- Create manufacturing-ready documentation including work instructions and test procedures
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement designs
- Support component selection, design validation, and quality checks
- Assist in building visual work instructions and optimizing production floor tools
- Contribute to process improvements, SOP development, and best practices
- Gain exposure to cost estimating, quoting tools, and project scoping
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- Completed sophomore year (rising junior or senior preferred)
- Experience with CAD software
- Strong interest in electrical systems, wire harness design, and manufacturing
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Able to work independently and collaborate within a team
- U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with electrical schematics or wiring diagrams
- Experience with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Basic understanding of electrical fundamentals (wire sizing, voltage, current)
- Exposure to manufacturing or Design for Manufacturing (DfM) concepts
- Experience with technical or process documentation
- Awareness of quality standards (UL, IPC, SAE, etc.)
- Prior internship or co-op experience in engineering or manufacturing
