About the role
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Project Director on planning, day-to-day operations, contract management, and staff development
- Develop and maintain a communications plan to keep business communities appraised of project plans
- Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to maximize contracted performance
- Implement strategic plans and quality management systems to exceed contractual requirements
- Manage project monitoring and evaluation systems, including indicators and outputs
- Lead, supervise, and hold direct reports accountable to meet performance expectations
- Coordinate employee training, mentoring, work assignments, and performance assessments
- Ensure staff are trained on funded programs, customer service, and HEART Principles
- Maintain a library of knowledge and lessons learned from project activities
- Ensure timely submission of all required reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in management, organizational development, project management, or business administration
- Five years of program-level management experience in human services (for-profit, non-profit, or government sectors)
- Extensive knowledge of workforce development programs
- Experience leading projects of comparable size and complexity
