Wind Turbine Technician

Responsibilities

• Climb wind turbines upwards of 130m to perform diagnostic testing, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs
• Perform scheduled maintenance including inspection, greasing, cleaning, torqueing and tensioning of bolted connections
• Conduct electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting
• Apply LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures
• Complete various reports, checklists, and hazard analysis
• Maintain a clean work area, equipment, and tooling
• Participate in company and customer HSE/training programs

Requirements

• Valid GWO certifications (Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, First Aid, ART, BTT, SGTT)
• GE, SGRE, Vestas, or Acconnna training certifications preferred
• Ability to travel 100% of the time (approx. 35:10 onsite to offsite ratio)
• Proficiency in Fall Protection/Rescue Training, LOTO, and First Aid/CPR/AED

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of wind industry experience
• Experience in wind construction, annual/semi-annual maintenance, or major component exchange
• Skills in blade/fiberglass repair or borescope training
• Experience with transformer and substation maintenance
