Wind Tunnel Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and close out discrete wind tunnel test programs for various customers.
• Lead teams of engineers and technicians to accomplish test programs and meet timeline requirements.
• Manage all test-related data and documentation, evaluating final results for quality and completeness.
• Identify and implement process improvements and determine required facility upgrades.
• Prepare technical papers, presentations, computations, specifications, and reports.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and equations to solve assigned problems and perform routine engineering tasks.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• BS degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics from an ABET accredited school.
• 1-2 years of engineering experience or a Master's degree (MS).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required.
• Physical ability to work in test environments, including climbing ladders, entering confined spaces, and lifting up to 35 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fluid mechanics.
• Proficiency with instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Experience with data analysis and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, LabVIEW, MS Excel, and MS Word.
