About the role

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on Wind Turbines
  • Calibrate and adjust turbine components to enhance performance
  • Conduct maintenance and resolve electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic malfunctions on specific WTGs
  • Diagnose problems involving wind turbine generators or control systems
  • Follow verbal and written instructions for WTG assembly, repair, and maintenance
  • Complete and maintain required company and client documentation
  • Operate motor vehicles safely and legally
  • Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work areas

Requirements

  • 12 months of related Wind Troubleshooting experience
  • SBTT - Siemens Basic Technician Training (Green Profile)
  • Siemens-Gamesa Renewable Energy Basic Technician Training certified – Family 3
  • Completion of C&T Gamesa Geared (incl. C&T DAC Converter) training in Orlando, FL
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Ability to climb wind turbines vertically at least 300 feet
  • Ability to lift and move equipment over 50 pounds
  • Ability to maintain weight between 120 and 280 pounds for OSHA compliance
  • Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tower Rescue/ Tractel certification
  • SRK 11 certification
