Wind Technician

Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance of wind turbines
• Troubleshoot errors on wind turbine
• Escalate technical issues to supporting engineering functions
• Support various sites across Iowa as needed
• Provide excellent service to customers
• Participate in the development of new field procedures and best practices

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to work at elevated heights (~300 feet) and in confined spaces
• Physical ability to climb ladders (minimum 250 steps), stand for long periods, and lift/bend/twist
• Ability to meet body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less
• Proficiency in Microsoft platforms like Outlook and Excel
• Ability to pass a medical physical examination

• Self-motivated with the ability to address issues quickly
• Demonstrated ability to work safely in a team environment
• Strong organizational and planning skills
