Wind Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on wind turbines according to manufacturer guidelines and engineering specifications
• Execute mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs using hand tools, power tools, and specialized test equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot operational faults using SCADA data and on-site investigation techniques
• Adhere to all Environment, Health, and Safety protocols, particularly when working with high-voltage equipment
• Complete detailed service reports and contribute to continuous safety and process improvement

Requirements

• Valid Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Safety Training (BST) certification
• Vocational or technical qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Proven experience in mechanical and electrical systems, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics
• Demonstrable experience as a technician in power generation, heavy machinery, or renewable energy
• Proficient English communication skills
