About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform up-tower repairs and diagnostics on medium and major components including generator bearings, slip rings, and gearbox HSS replacement
  • Conduct safe and efficient repairs to all wind turbine electrical systems
  • Carry out daily tasks such as cleaning, organizing, minor assembly, and troubleshooting
  • Read and interpret schematics from various wind turbine manufacturers
  • Perform LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) of equipment as an Authorized Person when required
  • Support lifting operations for large components following skills verification

Requirements

  • Direct turbine-specific experience (GE, SGRE, or Suzlon preferred)
  • SGRE Green Profile certification required
  • MCE experience with knowledge in lifting/hoisting operations
  • Experience with generator and gearbox bearing exchange
  • Ability to measure and interpret digital and analog calipers
  • Ability to climb vertically at least 300 feet
  • Ability to lift and move equipment over 50 pounds
  • Must maintain weight between 120 and 280 pounds for OSHA compliance
  • Proficiency in English for technical instructions and communication
