Wind Technician

Responsibilities

• Lead team members by supporting lifting operations of equipment at heights over 250’
• Oversee lifting operations and create, review, and amend lifting plans
• Conduct safe and efficient repairs to all Wind Turbine electrical systems
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) as an Authorized Person
• Conduct pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs)
• Interact with vendors and customers professionally
• Document all work in electronic formats and provide feedback for business improvements

Requirements

• Minimum of 1.5 years of direct product experience on Siemens Gamesa Platforms
• Direct turbine specific experience
• Ability to read and interpret schematics by various Wind Turbine manufacturers
• Main Component Exchange (MCE) experience and knowledge in lifting operations
• Detailed knowledge of generators, converters, controllers, and electrical equipment
• Ability to climb wind turbines vertically at least 300 feet
• Ability to maintain weight between 120 and 280 pounds for OSHA compliance
• Ability to lift and move equipment over 50 pounds
