Wind Technician III

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting, scheduled maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, and inspections on a U.S. wind site.
• Mentor and supervise junior and mid-level technicians to ensure high technical ability and quality.
• Diagnose and resolve complex turbine and equipment issues.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with site leadership to maintain project goals, schedules, and tracking.
• Document all service activities, including parts consumption and task details, using digital reporting systems.
• Work with Inventory Control to ensure projects are properly supplied with parts and consumables.
• Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation to provide site coverage.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in wind turbine field service.
• Strong understanding of wind turbine systems and safety protocols.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various outdoor environments.
• Ability to participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Must pass a background check, MVR, and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Vestas platforms (specifically V100 & V110).
• LOTO certification.
