Wind Technician III

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform root cause analysis (RCA) to repair offline turbines and return them to service
• Identify turbine performance issues and develop remedy plans during scheduled maintenance using data-driven decisions
• Perform quality checks on work performed by technicians and contractors to ensure high standards
• Collaborate with Site Leads and Field Managers to plan yearly maintenance schedules and optimize project performance
• Utilize CMMS to track work, inspections, schedules, and parts consumption
• Train and mentor developing technicians in electrical safety and proper equipment maintenance
• Maintain a strong safety mindset and act as a safety advocate, utilizing stop-work authority when necessary

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in energy generation and site leadership
• Proven experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of equipment failures
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Ability to work overtime and travel up to 20% within Ontario as required
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the GE Wind Turbine platform
