About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on utility-scale wind turbines
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities in accordance with OEM and site requirements
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control system issues
- Perform repairs, component replacements, and corrective maintenance activities
- Utilize technical drawings, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to resolve faults
- Monitor turbine performance to improve reliability and availability
- Complete maintenance records, service reports, and work orders accurately
- Maintain strict compliance with all company, client, and regulatory safety requirements
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of wind turbine maintenance or related industrial maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to climb wind turbines and work at heights exceeding 300 feet
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and confined spaces
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical, trade school, military, or vocational training
- Previous experience working on utility-scale wind turbines
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and turbine monitoring platforms
- Current GWO certifications
- Experience with GE, Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, or Nordex platforms
