Wind Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform wind turbine mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical component maintenance
• Troubleshoot and repair SCADA communication systems and electrical problems
• Follow safety procedures and observe safe working practices
• Document all work performed, parts used, and time spent using computer-based reporting
• Maintain hand tools and operate service vehicles
• Lead maintenance and troubleshooting crews for higher-level roles
• Perform LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or willing to obtain within 6 months)
• Ability to climb towers up to 300 feet and work in confined spaces
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Demonstrable mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work in adverse climates and travel as required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• For Level I: Basic electrical knowledge or experience in construction/utility trades
• For Level II/III: Associate's degree and relevant turbine experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in SAP
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
