Wildlife Controller

Responsibilities

• Conduct airport wildlife monitoring and control actions
• Coordinate active and passive wildlife control measures
• Record daily activities in the Bird Control Logbook
• Review and analyze wildlife hazard management reports
• Implement pyrotechnics and lethal control methods using signal pistols and firearms
• Analyze effectiveness of control measures and propose improvements
• Submit wildlife strike incidents to the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA)
• Maintain wildlife control equipment and consumables
• Monitor wildlife populations and habitat changes in surrounding areas

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in biology, forestry, agriculture, or wildlife management
• 3-5 years of professional experience in a relevant position
• Good ornithological knowledge
• Fluency in Greek and English (professional level)
• Driving License class B
• Ability to work in shifts and travel if needed
• Fulfilled Military Obligations if applicable

Preferred Qualifications

• Shooting Skills license
• Air Traffic Control Radio License
• Knowledge of national/international environmental and aviation regulatory frameworks
• Competence in MS Office and reporting tools
