Wholesale Lending Business Readiness Director

Responsibilities

• Define the three-year roadmap strategy for "Borrow Money" to digitalize and automate lending processes.
• Scope new product and process efficiency opportunities, including developing business cases to aid funding prioritization.
• Develop and execute business readiness strategies to ensure successful implementation of strategic change initiatives.
• Collaborate with Client Readiness, Operational Readiness, and Tech Delivery teams to ensure smooth transitions into BAU.
• Manage stakeholder engagement and resistance to change, ensuring senior management and project teams are aligned.
• Lead a team of specialists to investigate automation opportunities and roll out digital loan propositions.
• Review business readiness plans and status reports to identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies.

Requirements

• Strong business analysis skills with the ability to capture requirements and present proposals to senior management.
• Proven experience operating within lending, product development, or strategic change environments.
• Deep understanding of process design, optimization, and ownership focused on client outcomes.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Strong programme management and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and challenge existing ways of working.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of UI and UX (User Interface and User Experience) principles.
• Exposure to product ownership models within complex, multi-stakeholder organizations.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and controls within lending processes.
• Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments.
• Experience driving behavioral or cultural change regarding ownership and accountability.
• Ability to use data and insight to support decision-making and process improvement.
