Wholesale Client Profitability Associate

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end month-end close execution, including data readiness, calculation runs, and rule execution.
• Perform completeness and reasonability checks on inbound data such as expense baselines, revenue feeds, and client hierarchies.
• Validate transformation outputs against established WCP methodology to ensure consistent period-over-period application.
• Produce detailed variance analysis that distinguishes between business, methodology, and data/timing drivers.
• Maintain audit-defensible close logs, including run evidence, reconciliations, and sign-off artifacts.
• Lead issue triage and escalation management, communicating limitations and assumptions to stakeholders.
• Partner with methodology owners to implement approved rule changes with full traceability and governance.

Requirements

• Proven experience supporting month-end or period-end reporting processes and input validation.
• Strong analytical skills for performing reconciliations and driver-based variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills for managing large datasets and creating stakeholder outputs.
• Proficiency in SQL or similar data interrogation tools to validate feeds and troubleshoot data breaks.
• Excellent communication skills for managing stakeholder alignment and cross-functional issue resolution.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple timelines and dependencies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with profitability attribution concepts, allocations, and performance measurement (e.g., ROE, capital usage).
• Experience in client or product profitability reporting within wholesale or corporate banking.
• Knowledge of data governance practices, including lineage and change management.
• Ability to present executive-ready narratives that translate complex drivers into actionable insights.
