White Space System Lead

Responsibilities

• Architect comprehensive data center whitespace solutions, translating IT stack requirements into complete OT infrastructure designs.
• Lead technical engagement and solution whiteboarding with strategic IT vendors, NEO Cloud providers, and Hyperscalers across EMEA.
• Co-develop integrated reference architectures with major IT players to influence next-generation AI/HPC deployments.
• Collaborate with regional Application Engineers and IT Solutions Architects to provide system-level design support and training.
• Represent Vertiv as a technical authority at major industry events and governance forums to drive market share growth.
• Monitor competitor offerings and emerging technologies to drive innovation in high-density racks, cooling, and edge computing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Systems Engineering.
• 10-15 years of experience in Whitespace data center infrastructure design.
• Proven track record architecting whitespace solutions for large-scale (10MW+) deployments.
• Deep technical knowledge of server architectures, GPU clusters, networking, and storage.
• Expertise in OT architecture, including high-density racks, containment systems, and both air and liquid cooling technologies.
• Proficiency with design and monitoring tools such as CAD, BIM, DCIM, and CFD interpretation.
• Ability to travel 30-50% across the EMEA region to visit customer sites and industry events.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders from engineers to C-suite executives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with AI/HPC infrastructure deployments.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as EN50600, Uptime Institute Tier, and ASHRAE.
• Fluency in additional European languages.
