Whey Dryer Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and efficient drying of liquid products
• Conduct quality tests on powder products, including pH, moisture, and sediment testing
• Manage the startup, operation, and shutdown of dryers
• Monitor and coordinate atomization pressures, feed pump rates, and air temperatures to maintain optimum moisture levels
• Maintain equipment sanitation, housekeeping standards, and follow all cleaning procedures
• Perform equipment maintenance tasks such as changing Baghouse socks, pre-filters, and HEPA filters
• Complete all required operational documentation and communicate status updates to supervisors and other operators
• Verify chemical concentrations for CIP processes through titration

Requirements

• Strong mechanical abilities and a functional understanding of dryer operations
• Proficiency with computers for operational monitoring and documentation
• Good communication skills for effective team coordination
