Wetland Delineator/Environmental Scientist

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute wetland delineations and stream assessments for linear and renewable energy projects.
• Serve as a wetland field team lead following USACE 1987 Manual and Regional Supplements.
• Utilize GPS units to collect field data and map habitat types and sensitive resources.
• Prepare field equipment, mapping, Safe Work Plans, and logistics for field operations.
• Perform data entry, data analysis, and compilation of environmental reports.
• Coordinate with governmental agencies including USFWS, USACE, and EPA.
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications for federal and state environmental permits.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience conducting wetland delineations and stream assessments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Midwest vegetation plant identification.
• Experience with GPS field data collection.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and data management.
• Ability to work long hours in the field, including traversing various topography in varying weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a wetland delineation crew team lead.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS, ArcOnline, ArcCollector, ArcGIS Enterprise, Trimble GPS units, and Terrasync software.
• Strong technical writing skills and experience with USACE 401/404 and Section 10 permitting.
