Wet Chem Technician

Responsibilities

• Analyze assigned samples accurately and timely using wet chemical analysis and documented work procedures
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments including AAS, ICP, UV, LECO, and XRF
• Perform all analytical functions to support laboratory activities and ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain high standards of laboratory housekeeping, hygiene, and safety by wearing required PPE
• Assist in quality control by maintaining records, labeling solutions/standards, and checking equipment like scales and hot plates
• Monitor stock levels and notify management when laboratory supplies are running low
• Report all incidents, accidents, and instrument maintenance requirements to the supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of experience in a similar laboratory position
• Strong understanding of wet chemical analysis
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment such as AAS, ICP, UV, and XRF instruments
• Good communication and technical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in English as a second language
