About the role
Responsibilities
- Inspect metallic materials for properties and defects using non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as magnetic particle, dye penetrant, ultrasonic, and radiographic testing.
- Perform destructive testing, including hardness tests and tensile tests on welded connections.
- Ensure the operational safety of components for large hydropower plants and adjustable propellers.
- Participate in group and team-based training projects to link theoretical knowledge with practical metalworking skills.
Requirements
- Completed secondary school education (Mittlere Reife).
- Good knowledge of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and English.
- Strong logical thinking skills and technical understanding.
- Ability to work reliably, independently, and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally following the completion of the apprenticeship.
