Wells Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global teams to safely and efficiently execute all Wells activities across the entire well lifecycle.
• Provide engineering modeling for drilling and completions operations using industry-standard software packages.
• Deploy and monitor tools, standards, and processes to drive successful business outcomes for exploration and upstream assets.
• Utilize data, KPIs, and analytical tools to identify and implement performance improvement opportunities for rig teams.
• Conduct lookbacks and benchmarking analysis to identify trends and competitive performance.
• Partner with digital teams and stakeholders to ensure data quality and report key metrics.
• Explore the application of AI in competitive performance work scopes.

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant Engineering Discipline with a minimum CGPA of 7.5.
• Minimum 5 years of upstream industry experience as a Wells Engineer.
• Demonstrated knowledge of wells engineering concepts, including casing design, subsurface hazards, rig equipment, and well control.
• Proficiency in running and interpreting engineering models to improve well performance.
• Significant field experience on a rig or well site as a field engineer or company representative.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse international workforce.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in all aspects of well design, permitting, operations, and associated logistics.
• Experience in performance monitoring, optimization of well KPIs, and benchmarking.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment across different geographies.
