Responsibilities
- Support residents with personal care needs
- Encourage resident-led decision making in eating, resting, movement, and communication
- Help residents maintain skills and a sense of independence
- Observe, accurately document, and communicate health conditions
- Participate in ongoing training
Requirements
- Enjoyment in interacting with older people
- Commitment to high standards of performance and care
- Ability to work within a respectful team environment
- High energy and physical fitness
- Good customer service and problem-solving skills
- Availability to work rostered shifts including weekends and nights
- NZQF Level 2 or 3 qualification or one year of relevant experience (for Level 1-3 roles)
- NZQF Level 4 qualification or three years of experience (for Level 4 roles)
