Wellness and Emergency Responder

Responsibilities

• Be on-site at Knightsbridge Retirement Village to attend to resident emergencies and escalate as necessary
• Ensure the ongoing safety and wellbeing of all residents
• Support wellness initiatives that help older New Zealanders live well through daily interactions
• Work rostered day shifts, weekends, and evening/sleepover shifts as required

Requirements

• Enjoyment in interacting with older people and participating in meaningful work
• Commitment to high standards of performance with diligence and care
• Ability to work respectfully within a team and with residents
• Strong verbal and written communication with accurate reporting and documentation
• Honesty, integrity, high energy, physical fitness, and enthusiasm
• Good customer service, organisation, and problem-solving skills
• Availability for rostered shifts including weekends and nights
• Current first aid certificate
• Background in care or clinical settings is advantageous
