About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support in well management, including wellwork, well integrity, and plug and abandonment (P&A) for a global portfolio
- Work directly with Wells teams to provide design and operational support for safe and cost-effective operations
- Generate plots and reports to communicate solutions and leverage subject matter expert advice
- Ensure all operations comply with internal standards and international regulations
- Support well integrity assessments and remediation planning
- Collaborate with global asset teams, including production, facilities, reservoir, and geoscience disciplines
- Identify and implement new technologies and tools to enhance wellwork efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum GPA of 7
- 3-10 years of work experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
- Knowledge of well management engineering concepts including well intervention, P&A, well integrity, and well control
- Familiarity with engineering applications such as Cerberus, WellView, WellCAT, or Torque & Drag
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Spotfire
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a relevant engineering field
- Experience writing procedures for Wellwork Operations (rigless or rig-based, including coil tubing, slickline, or wireline)
- Field experience at a rig site or wellsite
