Welding/Mechanical Inspector

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and evaluate weld processes, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and expansion joints
• Verify compliance with ASME, API, NBIC, and local regulations
• Perform quality document reviews including WPS/PQR and issue corrective action reports
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of completed welds
• Perform in-service, turnaround, and risk-based inspections (RBI)
• Witness non-destructive testing (NDT) and interpret results
• Investigate non-conformities and assist in corrective actions
• Document inspection results and observe welding/preheating procedures

Requirements

• AWS CWI, API 510, or API 570 certification
• Minimum 5 years of industrial welding-related inspection experience
• 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, vendor surveillance, or shop inspections
• Industrial experience in Oil & Gas, Power & Utility, Construction, or Manufacturing
• Experience inspecting pipelines, expansion joints, and pressure vessels
• Experience witnessing NDE tests (UT, PT, MT, RT, etc.) and verifying reports
