Responsibilities

• Perform high-precision welds transitioning between heavy structural steel and high-pressure pipe welding
• Execute welds using GTAW (TIG) and GMAW/FCAW (MIG/Flux-Core) on carbon steel, stainless steel, and specialty alloys
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, weld symbols, blueprints, and P&IDs
• Deliver X-ray/NDT-quality welds adhering to ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1 standards
• Manage weldment preparation including cutting, grinding, beveling, and rigging
• Partner with engineers to optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM)
• Maintain a safe workspace adhering to industrial standards for pressurized equipment

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience as a pipe and structural welder
• Experience in industrial OEM, aerospace, oil & gas, or heavy equipment manufacturing
• Documented experience or active certifications under ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1
• Proven track record welding thin-wall tubing and thick structural members
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver around large industrial frames

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience fabricating hardware for supercritical fluid loops or high-pressure heat exchangers
• Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methodologies
• Basic rigging and overhead crane operation experience
