Welding Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as designated by the Project Supervisor/Chief Inspector in accordance with Purchaser’s specifications
• Review Purchaser’s specifications and procedures to ensure contractor compliance
• Prepare and maintain daily welding progress reports, repairs, and supplemental information
• Maintain Welding Inspector’s Daily Reports, Qualified & Disqualified Welders Lists, Welder Qualification Records, and Weld Logs
• Track weld locations, field changes, and materials used to assist in final turnover packages

Requirements

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required
• Experience with valve replacements, station work, or M&R piping preferred
• Proficiency with mark up drawings (redlines)
• Must possess personal inspection equipment including digital camera, amperage/voltage meter, stopwatch, tape, temperature gun, Pi tape, calipers, micrometer, and bevel/land gage
