Welding & Fabrication Specialist

Responsibilities

• TIG welding of Inconel, stainless steel, and titanium
• HHLBW (handheld laser beam welding) of advanced alloys
• Fit, tack, and weld heat exchangers for high power transfer
• Weld thick-walled process piping for extreme high-pressure systems
• Collaborate with engineers on welding procedure qualification
• Perform hands-on machining, fabrication, and modifications for rapid prototyping
• Document assembly steps, test procedures, and observations for engineering review
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication shop

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional TIG welding experience with Inconel, stainless steel, and titanium
• Proficiency in HHLBW or willingness to train in laser processes
• Deep understanding of weld quality standards for high-pressure, high-temperature systems
• Experience fabricating components for marine, aerospace, or power generation
• Ability to fit and weld complex multi-material assemblies with tight tolerances
• Proficiency with fabrication tools, machining, and precision measurement
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and weld symbols
• Strong understanding of weld metallurgy and distortion control

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience welding pressure vessels or 10,000 psi process piping
• Familiarity with ASME code work or WPS/PQR development
• Background in aerospace, energy, or marine fabrication
• Capability to perform visual and dye penetrant inspections
• CWI or other weld inspection certifications
