Welding Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for manual and robotic welding applications
• Serve as the subject matter expert for welding processes and automated systems
• Develop and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Manufacturing Engineering Procedures, and Work Instructions
• Assist with the selection, procurement, and implementation of welding equipment and consumables
• Develop training materials and conduct training for welding personnel
• Collaborate with R&D Engineering during product design to ensure repeatable weld processes
• Analyze process and equipment performance data to establish standards
• Recommend process improvements and layout changes to reduce cost and improve quality

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Weld Engineering
• Hands-on welding experience (MIG and Pulse preferred)
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and weld symbols
• Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1 standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Welding Engineering
• Formal training in robotic systems, metal fabrication, and arc welding
• Experience with SolidWorks CAD, WeldPro CAD, and FANUC robotic welding systems
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI) certification
