About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate TIG, tack, and automatic welding equipment
- Manufacture parts according to engineering standards and specifications
- Perform inspections and testing to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications
- Conduct visual inspections to ensure parts are free of burrs or damaged surfaces
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and proper part identification
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Adhere to all safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Support team goals by reducing scrap and improving throughput
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months of MIG/TIG welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprint drawings and planning instructions
- Familiarity with GD&T specifications
- Proficiency using measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to pass Ishihara Color Blindness and Jaeger Level 1 vision testing
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and maintain specific grip strength requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with aerospace materials such as SST, Inconels, Hast X, or aluminum
