Welder VI

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced welding tasks including fit-up, weld, and repair of metal using specialized techniques
• Execute complex welding in all positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead, and fixed 45-degree angle)
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and weld symbols
• Inspect completed welds for defects to ensure adherence to AWS and industry safety standards
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, including TIG, MIG, or flux core systems
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with 5-S Philosophy and Lean methodologies
• Identify and segregate non-conforming products to ensure high-quality output

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED
• Proficiency in TIG, MIG, or flux core welding processes
• Ability to pass 2G, 3G, or 6G certification within 30 days of hire
• Strong math and blueprint reading skills
• Knowledge of welding codes, metallurgy, and inspection techniques
• Familiarity with Lean Methodologies and continuous improvement processes
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks such as climbing, stooping, and standing for extended periods
