Welder

Responsibilities

• Apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair metal parts according to layouts, blueprints, and schematics
• Hand weld in all positions, including fillet and groove welds
• Perform repairs to subassemblies for final products
• Utilize oxy-fuel welding and carbon arc welding techniques
• Conduct one or two NDE tests as required
• Adhere to all safety rules and practices, potentially participating in safety committees or initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of related welding experience
• Proficiency in MIG and FCAW welding processes
• Expertise in FCAW (2G, 3G, and 4G positions)
• Ability to weld out of position, including vertical and overhead
• Ability to work at heights (15 ft or more) and climb ladders or stairs
• Comfort working in narrow or confined spaces for extended periods
• Physical strength and dexterity to perform tasks involving extensive kneeling, bending, and standing
