Welder

Responsibilities

• Perform welding assembly and fabrication on large-scale structures and assemblies
• Modify, repair, assemble, and install tunnel boring machines
• Set up welding equipment and check work against drawing specifications
• Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, and engineering staff
• Operate general shop equipment including forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
• Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts
• Ability to pass an FCAW weld test
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs unassisted
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, or in outdoor construction areas
• Flexibility to work night shifts (5P-5A) and extended hours/weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with power tools such as drills, saws, and pneumatic die grinders
• Basic rigging skills and OSHA certification
• Welding certifications
• Experience with GMAW, GTAW, Stainless Steel, or Hardfacing
• Familiarity with various metal types and thicknesses
