Welder

Responsibilities

• Perform welding processes including FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, or GMAW
• Fit up and weld structures or pipe spools made of various metals including carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum
• Perform fabrication math to derive dimensions, angles, and part locations from drawings
• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan fitting and welding operations
• Communicate with management, engineering, and planners to achieve build efficiency
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in an approved manner
• Set up safety equipment and work platforms at elevation

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 2+ years of experience in at least two welding processes (FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, or GMAW)
• Ability to work multiple shifts with minimal notice
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights up to 100 feet and in confined spaces
• Ability to work in extreme outdoor environments and environments exposed to fumes, sparks, and noise
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to comply with ITAR regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in one of the specified welding processes
• Knowledge of standard welding trade tools, materials, and work practices
• Experience using overhead cranes and forklifts
• Ability to rapidly change focus in a high-paced environment
