Welder

Responsibilities

• Operate MIG welders and other manufacturing processes as needed
• Monitor fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent material distortion
• Examine work pieces for defects and ensure conformance with specifications
• Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade
• Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to plan operations
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks
• Follow all OSHA and internal safety standards

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 1 year verifiable welding experience or Technical Diploma
• Experience with MIG welding steel
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings
• Ability to perform standard shop computations
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance
