Welder

Responsibilities

• Select equipment and plan layouts, assembly, and welding processes
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together
• Fabricate parts from sketches, blueprints, or instructions
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them for welding
• Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, GTAW-ARC (TIG), submerged arc, or other company-approved processes
• Repair and rework products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts
• Use hand and power tools to perform fabrication work
• Examine welds for bead size and other visual specifications
• Assemble completed spool pieces into final assemblies per drawings and spec sheets

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or technical school completion
• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to qualify for ASME Code welding as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to weld in a 6G position
