Welder

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations including manual stick welding, manual argon arc welding, and robotic automatic welding
• Position components in fixtures and perform tack welding
• Program and modify welding programs according to work instructions and technical drawings
• Assist with related processes such as grinding and assembly
• Operate and adjust production tools and equipment following standard operating procedures
• Maintain accurate production records and report any quality or production abnormalities to supervisors
• Propose improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality
• Adhere to all EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) regulations to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or technical vocational degree in welding
• Proficiency in manual stick welding or manual argon arc welding
• Experience welding carbon steel or stainless steel (5-10mm+ thickness)
• Ability to assemble and weld components according to technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of weld defect identification (e.g., undercut, porosity, spatter, lack of fusion)
• Ability to meet weld quality acceptance standards regarding smoothness and height

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the pressure vessel industry
• Possession of a pressure vessel welder qualification certificate
• Experience welding pipes with a wall thickness of 4-8mm or greater
