Welder

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment using welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools
• Produce metal products according to customer or employer specifications
• Use multiple welding machines to repair and maintain metal equipment and structures of various sizes
• Read and interpret diagrams, sketches, and blueprints to determine operations, required materials, and project timeframes
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment
• Implement personal and company safety measures, including the use of specialized goggles, helmets, and gloves
• Follow all company rules, quality standards, and safety policies

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent education
• Technical training in reading blueprints
• Minimum 1 year of experience in TIG and MIG welding
• Minimum 1 year of experience reading blueprints
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb in a factory environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional technical skills related to metal fabrication
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
