About the Company

fab2 designs and manufactures the hardware and software needed to make chips, building the fabs, tools, and components in-house. Founded by industry leaders Sam Zeloof and Jim Keller, the team builds everything from deposition and etching tools to lithography and metrology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manual TIG welding on stainless gas-distribution tubing and Al/SS chamber weldments
• Maintaining helium-leak-tight standards on vacuum-prep welds
• Operating Trumpf TruLaser 1030 (4 kW fiber) including nesting, loading, and calibration
• Setting up and operating Trumpf TruBend 5085 SX press brake
• Performing FINISHLINE 42" two-zone deburr operations
• Conducting first-article inspection across welded, bent, and laser-cut parts

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in at least two areas: manual TIG welding, laser sheet metal fabrication, or brake operation
• Strong manual TIG welding background on Aluminum and Stainless Steel
• Ability to pass AWS D17.1 or equivalent quality bend tests
• Proficiency reading weld symbols, flat patterns, and tube prints
• Ability to operate different machines daily in a cross-trained environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in TIG, sheet metal, and tube fabrication
• Experience with Trumpf, Bystronic, Mazak, or Amada machinery
• Welding Inspector certification (CWI)
• Experience with TruTops Boost or T PROJECT programming
• Familiarity with robotic or cobot weld cells (UR + Miller Copilot)
